Monday 10.19.09 - New day!

Ok here we go, new challenge, new entry, how about that? I got up at 4:30 am this morning, too bad the gym doesn't open until 5 am on Mondays, I always feel so rushed to be home by 6 am in order to feed the kitties and get ready for work. That's right, kitties, not kiddies. We have three of our own cats and five foster kittens. I love them, but whew, lot's of work.
I walked 1.91 miles today, and I know, it won't count as a full 2 miles for the challenge, but tomorrow, when the gym is open earlier, I can get in that extra few minutes that will turn that # into a two, and give myself a little smiley face. I found a whole bunch of stickers yesterday that are smiley faces, I'll just pop one onto my wall calendar as a cute little reminder that I got in my 2 miles and I'm good to go! :o)

Mishka

Hey beautiful girl! Oh how I MISS you!!! If tears could build a stairway, and memories, a lane; I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.
I think a lot about your last days/weeks withyou. What I could of done different, what I could of changed, how I could of made things easier and better for you.
I remember much you loved being on the bed and how I would try to put you in a spot so you could just lay there. I knew how hard it was for you to keep your balance. But you would resist being put anywhere by anyone. You were an independent kitty and you wanted to find your own comfortable solace. How it pained me to watch you try to walk to a comfortable spot on the bed just to see you topple over and fall off of the bed onto the hard floor. Just thinking of it now, it still pains me. But you never showed that it bothered you. You never cried out or scampered off. You would always get right back up and try again.
You have shown me over and over so many times what unconditional love, strength and courage is all about. I have watched you never give up, always continue to do your best. I have struggled continuously, I always give up so easily. But you never did. Not ever. You are my pride and joy. My reason for so many things.
I miss how you would run to the back of the house and do your little "where is everybody" meow. I would simply stand up so you could see me, and say "Misha, come here princess we're right here". And oh how adorable you were, you would come trotting back and do your little "oh there you are" meow.
How much I enjoyed when you would take your paw and knock something with in your reach off of the table or nightstand. How so adorably cute it was to see you watch the item you knocked off to the floor. Then how you would reach your paw up to find something else. How often we would put something with in your reach so that we could watch you do it again, again, and again. It never bugged me to see you knock things off of the table, it always gave me a good laugh to see you have so much fun watching things drop! What love you had and what a total joy and blessing you were in my life.
I knew all of your meows. Every one of them and I miss them. Each meow was special and your way of communicating with us. I miss your "look! There's a birdy!" meow. Your "Please pet me" meow. Your "where is everybody" meow. Your "please pick me up and put me on the bed" meow. Your "Trouble is teasing me again" meow. I never thought I would miss that one, but I do! I miss your courageous spirit. Your insight and love.
Misha you were my child, and it hurt so bad to let you go. I don't know how I am going to get through these next few years with out you by my side. I don't think anyone except Phil understands how MUCH you were a big part of my life and how much I loved you. No one can ever understand the special bond we shared and the peace and joy you brought into my life.
You're gone from us physically, but you're spirit still resides in this house. You were my BEST friend. Never gave up on me and you were always there for me. You'll never be far from my heart or my thoughts. I love you baby girl, I love you.
